My name is Miller Updegraff and I am a UX/UI designer, creative director, and strategist.
I cut my teeth working for Idealab, an incubator located in Pasadena, CA. During my tenure, Idealab was a lean machine, and members of our Design team wore many hats. So, from the beginning, I learned many skills that I've continued to hone throughout my career. This combination of breadth and depth has made me something of a 'specialist generalist'.
Working with early-stage startups to mid-size companies in a variety of industries -- from tech and innovation to banking and healthcare -- I'm on the ground and in the trenches, a trusted and reliable partner who is listening and working alongside my clients to locate creative solutions to achieve their goals.
I partner with clients to discover and refine their company's corporate identity and promote that identity creatively and effectively through any visual medium necessary – website design, marketing collateral, pitch decks, or product design.
On behalf of my clients, I'm driven to get results, communicate my client's story, articulate brand positioning, and gain traction in the marketplace, all while employing best practices and helping them avoid unnecessary roadblocks.
