Idealab, based in Pasadena, CA, has a unique business model: it is an incubator instead of being an accelerator. Company ideas are generated, built, and supported in-house.
While at Idealab, I started as a Prototyper -- creating and launching dozens of companies. From there, I moved on to supervising web production for all Idealab companies, running the in-house photo studio, serving as interim team lead, managing direct reports, and negotiating contractor salaries.
